I am by no means a “holy” person. I believe in God and the wonders of his work, I just don’t go to church (don’t judge me). Recently I have been reflecting on my life and I always came to this conclusion, that you reap what you sow.
I am happy to be reaping what I have sown. It took me a long time to get where I am now and I am happy with me. My journey has been long and rough like many other people journeys out there but the one thing I didn’t do was give up. I was having a conversation with one of my very good friends yesterday and she remarked that if she was in my shoes, she would have given up a long time ago and that she is really proud of me and where I have reached in life. Thanks JJ!
I do not claim to be a millionaire or the world’s perfect person, but I am blessed with what I have and I am also thankful to the people that have helped me and been there for me along the way. I think perseverance is the key to attaining what we want and sowing the right seeds.
Recently I was telling my daughter that although the system says is 3 strikes and you are out, I believe in one strike. We are all entitled to making one mistake and learning from that mistake. I am not a patient person when dealing with people at times, especially people that continuously make the same mistakes; I write them off like a creditor. In the world that we live in right now we have to sow our seeds correctly, there is minimal room for error.
Another thing that I like to reflect on is learning from people’s mistakes. When I moved here I had no one guiding me per se. I learnt from my mistakes and I like sharing my knowledge with the few people that I call friends in order for them to go down the less rocky path. I have another friend that when things happen to her, she hates to tell me, because she goes, I know you will say I told you so…Hi AG, lol!
In parting, I will share this verse from (gasp) the bible:
Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. And let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:7-9
