Sugar Beach & Project Chocolat

We decided to do something different before we got into the carnival activities. Now before I start, the person (you know who you are) leave the people TikTok things on TikTok eh. Anyways, while we were at WOW they told us we should be at the Marina at 7:40AM. (Edited to add the editor’s thought, in my mind, 7:40 where, let’s see how that works).

Now I want to know who thought that was a good idea and why. Because there has NEVER in the history of WOW been a time we leave WOW and we are not drunk. But anyways I set my alarm to wake up 6:40 am. Messaging the people, but nobody is awake yet. 7:30 or so everybody up. I self vex cause I could’ve slept longer chpz.

We eh reach the marina until 9/9:30. A whole 2 hrs behind lol.

Board the boat, they gave us the safety protocols and designated me as the DJ. I put on my favorite Lucia carnival mixes, leh we roll. Now I know that’s a speed boat, eh, but jesussssssssss I swear I go fly overboard. We reach Sugar Beach in 30 minutes. I have never reached Soufriere so fast.

On Sugar Beach we saw the Lucian Burna Boy. A few of us got coconut water and some mango juice (the mango juice was nice eh I should’ve taken that instead). We spent an hour on Sugar Beach. I did not snorkel because I did not want my wig to stay in the people dem ocean. Sugar Beach gets a 7/10. I feel the vibes can be nice, but it is very rocky! They do not tell you that on TikTok.

Next stop was Project Chocolat. NOW! We got greeted by our host, got served lunch, which was a bit different. Practically everything had a twist of the cacao in it. After we ate, came the part that we didn’t know that we had to do…tour the place. I want to know who tell the person I want to exercise on my vacation. Look walk we had to walk for that tour. Even though I’m a lowkey gym girlie I did not have hiking on my agenda for the day. After the tour we got to make our own chocolate. Look more exercise. We had to pound, beat, and grind the cacao beans until it made a paste. Mweh lassss. I swear I was beating that for 30+ minutes, and my arms were exhausted. The ending result, of course, is your own chocolate. Now I used all my sugar plus some of my neighbor’s sugar cause I want my chocolate to taste like diabetes, and it did! Once we completed our chocolate-making, it was time to head back home.

I thought I was ready to bathe and be in my bed, but it seemed the captain was in more of a rush than me cause, baby, the man was flying over that water there eh, I swear I would fly out of the boat. It was even worse than when we came down. I must say doh, I like how quickly I can get to Soufriere without motion sickness, but if I have to fear for my life awah, bro, we’re good.

I’ll give project chocolat a 8/10 though, it really was a nice experience.

xoxoxo
