Feature: Everything St.Lucian

I found this group on Facebook named Everything St. Lucian, and oh my!  I proceeded to like them and was not disappointed.  After going through their albums I decided to do a piece on their photographic skills and what made them highlight St. Lucia in this way.

ML: How long have you been a photographer?

EL:  Photography is a hobby I’ve enjoyed for the past 3-4 years. Always owned a digital camera as far back as I can remember, but got my first digital SLR in 2008.

ML: Who is Everything St. Lucian?

EL: A few years ago I decide to publish photos of things/places I liked and enjoy about St. Lucia on FB. There’s so much to do and capture here and share with everyone who’s interested in St. Lucia. That’s how I started Everything St.Lucian.

ML: How would you describe your style?

EL: hmmmm not sure yet.

ML: What type of cameras do you shoot with?

EL: Nikon D90 for now.

ML: What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?

EL: Perhaps my tripod or remote shutter release.

ML: If you had to choose one lens which one would it be and why?

EL: Nikon 18-200 not perfect but good all rounder.

ML: What is your favorite computer/editing accessory, other than your computer?

EL: Favorite editing software is Adobe Lightroom.

ML: What is your most used Photoshop tool, plug-in, action set etc.?

EL: NA

ML: How important is Photoshop in your final images?

EL: Not important at this stage since I haven’t learnt much Photoshop.

ML: What do you feel is the most challenging thing about photography?

EL: Can’t think of any major challenges now.  I would love to shoot more candid people shots in everyday life, but slowly building to that area.

ML: What motivated you to start this Facebook page with such beautiful images?

EL:  Sometimes a landscape picture of home, food or activity can trigger a memory especially if you are overseas. The island is beautiful and sometimes people are so caught up with everyday life they don’t get the opportunity to explore and experience these aspects, so I post stuff that interest me and what I think people will enjoy. Feedback also motivates me to keep practicing and developing this hobby.

Here is the link to their Facebook page, stop by and like them, you won’t be disappointed: http://www.facebook.com/EverythingStLucian

 Island living is the best!
