At Home French Manicure

I have been contemplating going to the nail salon to do my nails but I just don’t feel to spend unnecessary money or commit to going to a salon every 2 weeks or so.  I polish my nails off and on when I have the time and as you can see I haven’t put up any new polish post in a minute.  Last week I decided to try something new with strips instead of actual nail polish.  I bought the box on sale last year in South Carolina for $2.99 at Kmart and it was just sitting in my stash.

These are Sally Hansen Salon Effects.  And I got them in French Mani Noir Boudoir. It comes with clear strips to cover the nails and the black strips to put at the edge.  You put the black strips on the edge first then put the clear.  I applied it first on my thumb and didn’t like how it came out, so I applied the black strips and then two layers of my Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat to the rest of my fingers.  You can put the strips to whatever size preference you like and then just file it off with the provided nail file.  The process is a little tedious and you have to be very careful when applying…if you have shaky hands, make someone else apply for you.

Best and cheapest do it at your home manicure ever.  Oh supposedly it lasts up to 10 days but dais for people that doh do housework.  It lasted 7 days for me and started peeling off when I went into the water.  This is the first time I have tried a french manicure with dark tips, always did white tips, would I do it again, 100% I will.
